Since we planned to stay this weekend in Quito but want to see something new we decided to go to the Teleferico, a cable car going up the vulcano Pichincha from 2.950 meter to 4.050 meter in about 8-10 minutes The Teleferico is locates in the Avenida Western at the height og the Avenida The Gasca. At the bottom you can find some restaurants, bars, but also a beautiful garden before you take one of the 8 cabins carrying maximum 6 people up. As soon as you get there you can enjoy the view from there or hike further. It is recommendable to go there on a sunny day and preferably in the morning to see the beautiful surrounding of Quito and all snow-covered vulcanos of the northern Andes.
